Pinny Sea Cave Adventure

Meet outside Hornsby RSL at 6am following the ANZAC Day March.

Organise own transport, car pool.

We will be traveling to Pinny Beach - (near Caves Beach) 156 Caves Beach Rd, Caves Beach NSW 2281 It is about a 1:30min drive.

Bring: breakfast (there is somewhere to stop for food on the way up but last year it was very busy) swimmers, towel, hat, sunscreen, waterbottle, wetsuit (if you want) enclosed shoes, (flippers if you want) lunch, snacks. If you have your own harness and device you are welcome to bring it also.

There will be the chance to abseil about 20 mtr into the ocean and then swim into the sea cave. If you do not want to abseil you will be able to jump into the water, a ladder will be provided to exit the water.

For those not wanting to swim, a tyrolean will be set up accross the gap for you to have a go at, it's lots of fun for the less adventerous.

After the ANZAC Dawn Services Venturers, Rovers & Adults will gather together near the RSL club and then head to Catherine Hill Bay for a day of abseiling, swimming at the sea cliffs.

We will not be stopping for breakfast. We will arrange car pooling at the RSL prior to leaving.

There is about a 30 min walk to the site where we will set up abseils. The abseils are about 20m down to the water and swim about 100m to the cave and then swim back out. There is a 2.5m climb up a caving ladder and then a scramble up rocks back to the start. Depending on the day we may setup a Tyrolean abseil across the water at the same site.
